Peace on "The Lord's Field"

Birgitte came to Christiania as a young woman and started welding in the old women's workshop, where she made 7 large iron sculptures, which stood on Christiania's ramparts. When she became pregnant, she moved to the Jutland ridge, far out in the country and now had to change materials and started building a house, and learned to butcher animals - A roof over your head and food on the table - like that!

Birgitte stayed in Jutland for 17 years while the children grew up, but 5 years ago she returned to Fristaden and now shares a workplace with 2 other painters and a collage worker in the Painting Workshop in Pusherstreet.
She has worked with computer graphics for 25 years and transfers various works of art to other materials, she transfers e.g. printing of paintings onto postcard-sized wooden slabs – el prepares patterns which are transferred to stones that are carved out. Birgitte also works a lot with concept and installation art as well as constantly with painting. And for 15 years she has worked as a scenographer.

Birgitte herself adds these words to her works: "Grotesque paintings of human life in poetic social realism, - show deep psychological motives of life on "Herrens Mark". I am a multi-artist and work raw and sensitive with the material. My inspiration comes as an observer and free thinker in a culture that longs for authenticity, courage and responsibility for one's own life.” and with these words you are invited to see for yourself an exhibition mainly of paintings - vernising on 3 May at 15 and otherwise the exhibition is open ten. - son. at 14-19. until 1 June.

In the same period, Finn Thorstein, who is one of the colleagues in the Painter's Workshop, exhibits pictures in the Gallopperiet's café.
